Sean R. McKenna

Sean has defended, investigated, and resolved hundreds of civil and administrative fraud investigations, matters and cases against all manner of companies, executives, clinicians, providers, and manufacturers, for which he is nationally-recognized. Sean offers clients 20 years of healthcare litigation and fraud enforcement experience -- most of which was honed during his years as an Assistant United States Attorney and the Offices of Inspector General and General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Drawing on this wealth of experience, Sean regularly represents individuals and providers under civil and administrative investigation by the Department of Justice, Offices of Inspector General, and Attorneys’ Generals Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, and in criminal matters conducted by the United States and State Attorneys' General. Sean is commonly called upon to represent providers before Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial contractors. Apart from his work on active investigations and enforcement matters, he reviews and advises clients, with respect to proposed and existing arrangements, and compliance with State and Federal fraud and abuse rules. He routinely assists client with internal investigations and compliance review/organizational assessments.
